Random Act of Kindness.

As far as my random act of kindness, I decided to give food to a homeless person.  I feel like the homeless are very prominent in Isla Vista, and although it may sound weird, they have kind of made themselves part of the community.  For example, the Pirate.  Everyone knows who he is.  Although they can tend to be a bit intimidating to some, I think it is important for everyone to eat.  So I wanted to show my compassion that way.  At first, I did not think it would be possible to give food to a homeless person anonymously.  However, an opportunity did come my way.  On my trip to Caje, the local IV cafe, this morning I decided to buy an extra bagel with the works.  My favorite! It has tomato, avocado, red onions, cream cheese and lemon pepper.  Anyways, I was planning to just give it to a homeless person on my way home.  I know a local spot a man has decided to post at, right by IV market.  On my way to his spot, I noticed his belongings were there and he was not.  I thought it was a perfect opportunity to give him the bagel anonymously.  So I placed the wrapped bagel on top of his stuff.  I decided to ride back by about 5 minutes later, but he still was not there, the bagel still was.  So I just went home. I'm sure no one else would take it, but hopefully he decided to eat it and did not think it was weird a bagel had just appeared.  I like the idea of doing these acts of kindness anonymously.  It gives hope for keeping hope open in this world, and reimburses the fact that there are good people willing to help.  Clearly, I did not get documentation.
