Gio's (part II).

Although I really wanted to do something different than Open Mic night at Gio's this week, I had a lot of appointments and was not able to make it to anything else.  Don't get me wrong, I love Open Mic Night but I have commented on it for week one so I apologize for that.  However, this week was a lot of fun!  It was pretty cool because one of the kids who rapped, unfortunately I was not able to catch his name, but has opened for the artist Zion I before at Velvet Jones downtown!  So that was a treat to see him live, and he was pretty good!  There was another act as well that was HILARIOUS.  These two boys got up on stage, both with guitars in hand.  At first I knew I recognized the tune they started playing but just could not put my finger on it.  Then they started singing.  They had made their own version of Rebecca Black's song "Friday", but with a bit of a different message.  They were commenting on her interesting lyrics and not to be too blunt, but making out right fun of her.  It was pretty funny and clever, and they were good singers!  That was probably my favorite act of the night.  I wish I had the courage to get up on stage and do something because I love singing!  It just won't happen haha.
