Open Mic Night @ Gio's! (art show review)

I have never been to open mic night before but a lot of my friends have, and convinced me to go this week.  Turns out it's perfect to do my art show review on for this class!  I really liked how it was open to anyone and everyone was welcome.  There were a lot of different types of acts; singing, poetry, freestyle rapping, harmonica playing...and much more! Free pizza was also pretty awesome!  My favorite act was a girl who sang "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele.  She had one of her guy friends play the song on his guitar for her and it was amazing! She really sounded like Adele which seems pretty hard to do.  If only I was 21 and could get a pitcher it would have been that much better :).  Anyways, my neighbor also played his guitar and sang a song which was really good! Reminded me of Bradley Noel's voice from Sublime, so I was naturally excited since that is my favorite band.  I'm glad I was able to make it in time to see his act and support him!  Anyways, I definitely enjoyed myself and want to try and go more often spring quarter.
