This is a painting I found on my way down to the beach. Art is BEAUTIFUL! Art is EVERYWHERE!

KIP.
Being an art studio newbie, Kip's lecture was my first! I really enjoyed his quirky stories as well as his style of teaching. I'm just going to say it, I think at times art can be really boring. Staring at pictures and learning the author's names is not my thing. I've been in an art history class before and felt tortured every lecture. I was not sure what to expect from this 7A class and was very pleasantly surprised! The about-to-be 2 hours flew by. In particular, Kip's story about the pile of trash being analyzed not only cracked me up, but also really help me to understand and reflect upon what this course is going to be about. I am so excited to learn about art in every form, in every scene of life, and in my own environment. I really appreciate Kip's enthusiasm and up to date material. I loved how he commented upon the youtube UCLA student who made a fool of herself. When he questioned, "Why do these type of medias become viral?", I really could not think of a significant answer. I hope we explore more upon that idea and the types of media and art that make society tick!
